Hazards to watch out for summer in 2022

We wait all year for summer to come so we can enjoy trips and tours, Swimming, Picnics, Sunbath, and obviously Bike riding. But, we get sick every summer which ruins our plans. We need to know about the hazards in summer so we can take precautions accordingly.

Dehydration:

This is one of the common hazards “of dehydration”. As we all know water is an essential part of life and 70% of our body is made up of water. Dehydration occurs when our body consumes more water than we are drinking. In summer our body consumes more water which directly affects our health. It can occur at any time of the year, but most commonly in summer when people are doing outdoor activities under the sun. Children and older adults are most affected by dehydration. Its Signs may include Headache, dry mouth, tiredness, dark-colored and smelly urine, and many more. These symptoms tell your body it’s time to rehydrate. Severe dehydration, or heatstroke, occurs when the body's internal temperature reaches uncertain levels. The skin will feel hot and the sweating will stop. At this stage of dehydration, a person may pass out. If you see physical signs of dehydration in ant person it’s important to get them under the roof and have them lie down and try to bring down their temperature to normal.

Spending Time under the sun:

Many people think that Sun only affects you when you spend a whole day under it but that’s not true, it affects you at every moment when you are under it. Especially children because they spend most of their time outdoors. Their skin is sensitive and can burn easier but they don’t know how dangerous the sun's rays can be for them.

We all need sunlight at some distinct level because it is the main source of vitamin D for us. It helps to regulate calcium which makes our bones stronger. But this process doesn’t take much time for most people to get the amount of vitamin D they need. Spending a lot of time under the sun can cause skin damage, eye damage, skin cancer, dehydration, heat exhaustion, and other heat-related illnesses.

We can follow some guidelines to be on the safe side.

·        Avoid going under the sun between 10 am to 4 pm as it is peak time.

·        Use Sun bloke so it blocks harmful radiations to reach your body.

·        While working under the sun take breaks after some intervals.

·        Stay hydrated.

·        Wear garments according to weather conditions.

·        Try to limit your direct exposure to the sun.

·        Use Sunglasses to avoid direct contact with radiation.

Bike Riding:

When summer comes, it’s time for riders to get their bike ready for long trips. Many people say that riding bike in summer with your friends and family is the best time you spent but you must be aware of safety measures to ride a bike.

Before going to ride must test your bike whether is working properly or not especially for long routes. Pass it through different quality checks like brakes, horns, lights, tires, oil, etc.

After getting positive outcomes from bike tests now it’s time to get the proper bike safety equipment.

We usually think that gloves are only used to grip the bike but in case of an accident, they can also be used to balance you from sliding and lessens the damage.

After Gloves, you must wear the best riding suits while riding the bike because it saves you from massive damage to your back and shoulders. Always use CE approves products because these are already passed through multiple tests in order to serve safety while riding.

Now it’s time to use the best helmet for highway riding, Brain is the most sensitive part of our body, all our body is controlled by the brain, Most of the casualties happen due to injuries to the head so we must use helmet to be safe in case of unusual happening.

You can get high-quality CE-approved Motorbike gear at a low prices from our motorcycle gear store.

Before going to ride check the weather conditions because bad weather conditions are dangerous for everyone to drive but two-wheelers are in redline. Whenever bad weather crosses your way never try to beat it because it can be fatal.

Now you are fine with the motorbike test, your gear, and weather conditions but still have to ride your bike with full concentration. For Truck drivers or car drivers, it is a bit easy to manage but in the case of motorbikes, it’s fatal. Never distract your eyes if it’s difficult then moderate your bike speed.

Never drink and drive, first of all, it is prohibited and then after drinking you will be unconscious and it can cause an accident for you.

Swimming and Boating:

We all head towards to pool or beach for swimming and boating but remember that the no of deaths is comparatively the same for bike riders. So it’s ok to enjoy but Safety must be your first priority so you should use rescue rings, and life jackets and always ensure children are supervised. “While supervising, avoid drinking alcohol and other distractions like social media. Never dive in shallow water as it can cause Spinal injury.

Bone fire:

We love Bonfire parties and roasting marshmallows under the stars with friends and family. There is also a danger involved with fireworks. According to the National Fire Protection Association, thousands of people die in the emergency room with burn injuries every year.
